Sweet Adelines in 1969 and has been an active performing group throughout
the Triad area of Winston-Salem, High Point, and Greensboro, North Carolina,
for 35 years. The chorus sings four-part harmony, in barbershop style.
Their repertoire includes a variety of music from old standards to
contemporary, show tunes and patriotic to spiritual. Golden Triad Chorus (GTC) has won first place in
regional competition three times and has competed four times in
International contests, placing second in the small chorus division in San
Antonio, Texas, in 2000. GTC placed third in small
chorus division in regional competition in May 2005, and placed
third in small chorus division at the Buckeye Invitational in Columbus,
Ohio in August 2005.
The ladies of GTC come from all walks of
life - nurses, teachers, accountants, and homemakers to name a few.
They all have the love of music and harmony in common, and they delight in
taking their hobby of barbershopping into the community.
As members of Sweet Adelines International, they are
dedicated to improving vocal and performance skills. The chorus
engages certified SAI coaches about twice a year to enhance that knowledge.
Through a shared love of harmony and performance, lasting friendships are
made, which make the Sweet Adelines experience special.
GTC loves performing and would be
delighted to come and sing for your organization. It is through our
performances that we help to fulfill our organization’s motto to “Harmonize
the World.”
