Region 14
Sweet Adelines International (SAI) choruses are divided into geographic regions, each governed by a management team. Region 14, the Blue Ridge Region, consists of choruses and quartets in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and the northeast tip of Tennessee.
The regional organization provides support and educational opportunities for its choruses and quartets, encouraging a spirit of camaraderie among all Sweet Adelines members in the region. Educational events are held in the summer and fall of each year, where some of the best SAI coaches are brought in to develop the musical skills of all participants.
Each spring the choruses and quartets participate in regional competition to provide objective evaluation of their mastery of the barbershop art form. The winners of regional competition then move up to International Competition held in the fall of each year.
